Great looks can hide a lot, but the Kathmandu EXC delivers what its looks promise. The smooth-welded junctions and the elegantly integrated IC 3.0 rack in the frame make for an incredibly aesthetic set-up. We have also installed easy-to-use Shimano derailleurs and a complete set of accessories. Conclusion: Limits were yesterday!
One of the things that sets us apart here at CUBE is our extreme attention to detail. That's why we've equipped the Kathmandu with the integrated IC 3.0 luggage rack, which blends seamlessly and elegantly with our ACID mudguards. There are also mounts for a flat mount disc brake and a kickstand on the rear wheel. The chassis owes its clean, uncluttered look to the smooth welded tube connections. So much for the looks. In terms of function, we have fitted the rear triangle with a thru-axle and opted for a butted head tube for optimized stability and steering precision (even when fully loaded). Last but not least, thanks to the cables running through the down tube, the gears shift smoothly from gear to gear and hardly need any maintenance. Everything you need is there - just pack your own toothbrush!
